In 2006, Scherre celebrated Wahoo's tenth birthday by renting a beach house in Galveston. She wanted to see if her doggies would like the ocean. They did.The people had a pretty good time also. So we repeated the new tradition with our new dog, Casey, in 2007 and 2008 at the same beach house. Later in 2008, hurricane Ike destroyed the beach house, so we rented an off-beach house in 2009. In 2011 we went to the same house for a full week in Early August.
